Oh my god, you count and count; you're so thrifty. Saving at others' expense is your cheapest defense for your friends. They're all Benjamins. Listen up. There's a bigger wolf coming, gonna blow your house down. My friends are all bones and blood. Your money's no good for love. On all our backs, you look so tall. Where will it be when you fall? Check your back for your footprints. You're stepping on yourself. One day you'll see you're not what you should have been now greed is your species. Now it comes. You need the research, but they need the money. All the cash you saved, it all goes away. How much can you pay? No more running from mistakes you've made / time to pay for these games you've played. Saving souls should come so natural. Evolution's separating us all. It's instinctual. We are a pack animal. So why? Why? Why? Why have we forsaken so many to the poison, to the radiation, and death? How many more will have to fall before you've had your fill, before you've had it all? So take my advice; I warn you when I sing. I wish someone would have told me the same thing. Money builds bombs, bridges, and buildings. Love builds something more fulfilling. I never did what I should. I could have done so much good.

Lately I've been thinking of nomadic life and changing love. Our hearts move with the heard and then move along to different worlds. Maybe it's in our ancestry to love so hard and then to leave when our time is done. I just wanna know who will be there when I grow old and whither. Hearts will grow so distant. Some will become dissonant until you cannot hear or see the harmony that lies between. When I heard the news, I wanted to tear my hair out and scream, "You fucking idiot, you're wasting your time with your shitty 90's pop-rock band and your new friends!" I understand you're having the time of your life; I couldn't comprehend that it was without me because my dreams were of We by the Sea and a "we" that never saw you leave. And when you're famous, who will travel along with me? My friend is a quiet one, but I swear that you will have heard him by the time that he is done.

Are we up to chance? Is this all a dance of possibilities? And who am I to say where the wind should blow? Can you hear my chimes? They're a ringin'. Can you hear my voice? It's singin', "I don't wanna be another short lived melody whistled by the wind and never pursed to your lips." I want to take mother nature for a spin to cast a spell on your heartstrings, to enchant them to play my melodies again and again and again. Floating in a void of chance meetings and interactions, I find myself searching for something more. My limbs seem to dangle in this haze of hoping, but I am not awake. I'm dreaming my life away. This is the moment when you find yourself, realize you're drifting, find some solid ground, and take control of fate. I'm not yet grounded, but I swear I'll find my way / use my feet to take me to a better place, and when I've made it, I'll keep on running away. I know I've waited far too long; I've got many miles to run just to hear you sing along some day. It's been fun being stagnant, but I must get going now.

I say, "No way." This can't be happening to me. Now, you don't pull away. Everything will be okay. You are my home/home is where the heart is, where we fight the hardest for the things we love.

I feel time burning on my skin. The flesh underneath seers in the sun, and I peel and flake. I shed like a snake not ready to move on. Time's moving forward. I'm getting older, and I wonder if I start to fall, can I crash on your floor? Don't fall asleep and do not wait. 'Cause you won't remember your dreams when you are awake. Time is moving, ticking on and on. I want to remember you even when you are gone, and if I have to watch you go to sea, please at least, let your scent stick to me. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7. I can't dance, but you count me the steps to your door. I'll surely let myself in. I hope I look alright in my new skin. It's a little tight in my new skin. I feel you're drifting away now, eyes filled with doubt. My skin is a trend. It breaks, and it bends. I swear it will end. My skeleton's the same. It's the way I was raised. My love for you is not a passing phase.
